Ramen Bliss at Momofuko Noodle Bar

You really haven't had ramen until you have had David Chang's ramen at Momofuko Noodle Bar. This is game-changing ramen. I went on an early afternoon eating adventure with a couple of foodie friends of mine and we beat the crowds by getting there right at noon. We started with some perfectly yummy buns: shrimp and pork. We then all ordered different ramen and sampled each one. Each had a broth bursting with earthy and complex flavors, and all fantastically unique. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Ramen (pictured above), which was actually much more smoky than spicy and had kale and sesame seeds, along with the smoked chicken and poached egg. It was divine.

Joanne ordered the Kimchee Ramen (above) and it had a very firey broth and was loaded with the classic Kimchee veggies and delicious shredded pork. It came with rice on the side instead of noodles, to help cool the heat. Judd ordered the Momofuko classic (below), which came with two preparations of pork, seaweed, bamboo shoots and, of course, the poached egg. The portion sizes were huge so I was able to take half of mine home and enjoy it the next day. Best. Leftovers. Ever.

Happy diners
